Attack on Nice?

Reports are coming in of an attack on July 14 celebrators in Nice, France. Gunfire and a car driving into a crowd at the Promenade des Anglais have been reported. CNN is reporting “dozens dead.” Is the Islamic State behind the attack? Right now it’s unclear. However, Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium reports that ISIS terrorist accounts are posting about it.
A tweet sent out by an ISIS-supporting Twitter account links the Nice attack to the death of Abu Omar al-Shishani, a Georgian Chechen commander of the Islamic State that ISIS recently admitted had been killed, reports The Telegraph.
Breaking News reports that a vehicle crashed into Bastille Day crowd, sending everyone running. Videos of the chaos were quickly uploaded to Twitter. Watch those below.
Local resident Jimmy Ghazal reported that a truck loaded with gunmen crashed into a crowd. However, this has not been confirmed.
Bastille Day is celebrated every year on July 14 in France and other French-speaking countries around the world. It celebrates the beginning of the French Revolution, which occurred over 200 years ago.

I've seen no reports on the BBC that France has arrested 7 of Mohammed's accomplices shortly after the event.
Why would they not report that?

As I said before I have only taken note of Islam because it keeps thrusting itself at the Western world with horrible atrocities in the name of a fucking weird religion started by a criminal by today's standards.

I'm fairly sure the Ottomans are not a great example, or at least it depends which time-frame you are looking at

I seem to remember that some kids enslaved and converted were deliberately sent to kill their own parents when they were older. It's in a book I've got somewhere called Worlds most Evil Men. Aside form the usual suspects like Hitler and Stalin, there is a whole chapter dedicated to the Ottomans.

If we really wanna go back in time, Genghis Khan's empire was responsible for killing about 40 million people. That's estimated to be about 10% of the world's population at the time.
